The most current and a huge event!

Our youngest daughter Chrissy was married to our new son-in-law Brandon on June 15, 2013 in Playa del Carmen, Mexico.  It was beautiful. It was hot and humid.  The bride is and was absolutely beautiful.  (I'm not the least bit bias.)

And it was very warm, 89 degrees that felt like 98 degrees.  So, here is my suggestion to anyone planning an outdoor wedding. Please, plan for a possible change of wardrobe for the youngsters in the bridal party.
The flower girl was our youngest granddaughter (3 years old). She was absolutely beautiful and did a super duper job, but....

you can see that she was much happier in the tutti frutti cotton dress.  And boy oh boy was she ever playing that camera!
Yes, I made both of her dresses and would be happy to help any of you with that kind of project.

One more idea that came from this event, for the men this time.  It's such a simple, but elegant idea.

Look Closely at those cuffs.

The guys had matching cuff links and the cuffs were monogrammed with the bride and grooms initials.

Now that is something very easy that I would be able to help you with too. Of course, you will have to provide the shirts, but I will monogram them for $5 per shirt plus shipping.

That's it for now,
Love you all,
Grandma Jeannie

About Me

My photo
My DH and I moved recently from near Des Moines to just south of Branson, MO, Missouri , United States
Sewing has been part of my life since childhood, first clothing and then moving into accessories, home decor, embroidery, and knitting. During the most stressful times of my corporate life, time spent in my sewing room refreshed my spirit. As the world became more environmentally responsible, I began to think about the different things my grandmother did that make economic and environmental sense today. Simple things like carrying lunch to work is not only less expensive, it's usually healthier. Now let's reuse the containers and bag. We just became very smart. Next, if we can reuse a lunch bag, why not carry our own grocery or shopping bags. Families are very busy today, so we need to take every opportunity to enjoy our time together. We also want to save money while doing what's right for the planet. Items that can be reused, easily cared for, make us smile, or just make everyday tasks more enjoyable are the things I hope to make available to you. Every effort is made to use 100% machine washable cotton in our products. Please note fabric content and care instructions included in the product description. My goal is to offer quality products at a fair price.
